This switch screws into your master cylinder to make the brake lights work. VW folks have had some trouble in recent years finding good quality brake light switches. We’ve discontinued carrying the cheap switches, because we care about your safety! Ate was the original german supplier of most all VWs brake parts. Their quality remains in good standing today. These switches are a bit pricey, but you’ll enjoy reliable performance and safety for a long time. Usually made in Croatia. (We sometimes also ship FTE German made switches.)
