For serious dependability, especially for racing or off-road, its important to use a solid epoxy filled coil. Less expensive oil filled coils simply won’t stand up to vibration and heat. This genuine Bosch coil has a primary resistance of 3.5 Ohms, so it will work with conventional points and condenser, or most simple electronic ignitions like Compufire or Pertronix.
This is the same coil featured back in the 1970’s and 80’s in the popular “Bosch Screamer Kit.” Bosch part # 9220081083, or alternate # BOS 00012. . Made in Brazil.
