For serious dependability, especially for racing or off-road, its important to use a solid epoxy filled coil. Less expensive oil filled coils simply won’t stand up to vibration and heat. This Compufire coil has a primary resistance of 3.5 Ohms, so it will work with conventional points and condenser, or most simple electronic ignitions like Compufire or Pertronix.
