These small outside diameter nuts are an inexpensive solution for areas that require extra clearance. They are most often used on exhaust that is 1 5/8″ or greater diameter, dual carb intake manifolds, and any other area that is a tight fit for the normal 8mm nut which is 13mm wrench size.
