This high torque Wosp starter fits all Type-1 Beetles with twelve volt transmission housing. (1967 through 1979.) It replaces Bosch 12 Volt starters perfectly. Treat yourself to reliable starting! Since the output shaft is the “self supporting” kind, you can also use the starter in a 6 volt trans housing with the bushing removed.
