Description
This lower steering column bushing replaces the VW plastic needle bearing without any modifications to the tube or steering shaft. It is made from high-tech Nylatron, is self lubricating, and will last for thousands of miles. The steering column and shaft should be removed from the car for easiest installation. Fits ’71 to ’73 Super models. Replaces VW part number 113-415-531.
Note: Some customers have used this bushing at the bottom of standard beetle steering shaft tube. For example it can be used where support of the steering shaft is needed for a double jointed steering shaft. An example would be on a Baja Bug with rack&pinion steering.
