VW has pronounced the stock Super’s sway bar clamps “OBSOLETE” in their parts system. We have found these Porsche clamps that will do the job for you. We’ve modified them a bit to work on your Super Beetle. The construction is somewhat stronger than the originals due to the taller flanges of the stamping. They are intended for the “early” ’71 to ’73 style 8mm mounting bolts. By simply drilling out the mounting holes with a 10.5mm or 13/32″ drill bit, they can be used on ’74 to ’79 Supers.
