Strut Bearing Mount, 71-73 Super Beetle#87-0260B

If your assembled strut does not rotate freely from the top bearing, you may need a replacement unit. These imported bearing mounts replace the original units perfectly. NOTE: Top Line routinely tests all its products, and this one is no exception. In the past, we have found that the press-fit bearing will sometimes come loose from the bonded cylinder. Our solution was to tig weld the bearing race into the cylinder. The factory that makes these units has corrected the problem, making the weld process unnecessary. The fix was to use a swedge tool that stakes the bearing firmly in place. Please see photos showing past cure, and new process. Made in China.
